How Much You Can Fit?
The number of storage containers you will need will depend on the volume of your belongings.
We have different types and sizes of storage space. On the ground floor, we have standard small containers with a total volume of 250 c.m. The number of items that can fit into one of our smallest containers will depend on the size and shape of the items you are trying to store. However, here are some examples of items that can fit into a container of this size:
Boxes, suitcases, and bags
Small furniture like dining chairs, office chairs, side tables and chest of drawers
Any small appliances including washing machines, dryers and standard-size fridges
Dismantled beds and short wardrobes
Garden tools, bikes and small garden furniture
Any large and bulky items can be wrapped and placed on a pallet. If the large item is not heavy, we can place it on the first floor, where the storage units are big, tall, and wide. The price for using our London storage units is typically calculated based on several factors. Firstly, the storage size plays a significant role. Our smallest storage unit is 25 sq. ft and the price starts from £25.00+VAT per week, including insurance. The price might be lower if you want to store a single item, which most likely will be placed with other customers storing single items.

Important: When your furniture, clothes, appliances and equipment will be stored, an adequate wrapping and packing must be done. We have trained and experienced teams ready to offer export packing ( or storage packing ) service. If the items are not protected, sealed and labelled correctly there is a high risk some of your items to get damaged or even lost. If you opt for a full packing and moving service, we will create a detailed inventory list what will go into our storage units. Once each storage containers is loaded, we will place label and markings so we can easily locate it in the future. If requested, we can provide a copy of our storage inventory list.

What is the minimum storage period?
We require a minimum of 2 weeks storage stay for short-term storage. In case we are also doing removals for you and you can`t move in, we are happy to offer one-week-only storage in emergency situations.
Do you give discounts on long-term storage?
Yes, we do. The amount of discount we can give will depend on the period you will store with Movivan. It will also depend on the size of storage you will be using. Our storage prices are flat and we do not give half price storage for the first 8 weeks like other self-storage companies.
How do I pay for your storage services?
All storage services must be paid in advance. You can pay by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
Do you empty the cupboards?
If you have wardrobes, bookcases, and heavy chests we would need them to be emptied and wrapped ready for storage. Our removal crew can also pack the documents into removal boxes or crates. To summarize moving furniture empty or not will depend on the weight and if there is a risk of damaging the furniture if not empty.
Do you prefer items to be wrapped in advance?
When collecting items for storage, our removal men typically inspect and wrap all furniture coming into our store. The wrapping service will cost extra, so if you do not want to pay for it, try to protect and wrap all valuable items while in storage. Use blankets, bubble wrap, or old cardboard boxes to keep all surfaces and corners intact and safe. We use professional furniture paper to wrap your furniture while in storage and we use moving boxes/containers for small items. What is the cancellation period?
We require a minimum of 10 days’ notice when you want to cancel your storage. You can either request us to deliver your belongings, or you can book another removal company, which can come and collect your belongings on your behalf. All storage payments must be cleared before we allow you access to our storage facility.
